Jo’s Yoga journey
“Practicing Yoga has been a great support over the years.”
I started loving Yoga when I was a child. My Mum would come home from a Yoga class and would show us what they had done. More often than not, you would then find me doing backbends and handstands against the side of the house; I just simply loved it.
Life moved on and became less carefree, and I found myself drifting back to Yoga. Before I knew it, everything aligned and I began training to become a Yoga Instructor in 1997. To date, I have taught yoga around Poole & Bournemouth for over 20 years, teaching all age groups, from toddlers to those in their 90’s.
Practicing Yoga has been a great support over the years. Keeping me physically, mentally, and spiritually well. There, of course, have been times that have been extremely challenging! Yet, I always seemed to be able to take something from teaching and immersing myself in Yoga on some level or another. Focusing on learning to calm the mind and connecting to the present moment has been invaluable.
Through Lockdown, I have had to adapt my ways of working as a Yoga Teacher and I now work on Zoom and will continue to do so. Once the Lockdown way of life is over, I intend to work both in-person and online.
Zoom has opened up new horizons for me, as I can now work, world wide. I have made many new friends through my training in various countries and met some incredible people in my work.
I’m excited about the future and playing my part in supporting those who have struggles, however big or small. Sharing my experience and the tools I have learnt along the way.
Whether you want Yoga, Hypnotherapy or both. Please drop me a line if you have any questions or concerns.
Jo’s Hypnotherapy
“I’m excited about the future and playing my part in supporting those who have struggles.”
In 2010 I did a short course in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and an NLP taster course. As much as I found NLP interesting, and still dip in and out of it, Hypnotherapy aligned with me more.
I practiced Hypnotherapy for about six months on myself and others and then life took a different turn and I was thrown off track. Ten years on, in lockdown and needing to keep my mind well, and a gentle push from a dear friend, I decided to refresh and enhance my abilities in working as a Hypnotherapist.
Over the years I have relied on self-hypnosis to help me through my personal development. I now work with people, changing and enhancing their way of living their life. It brings me great pleasure to see people release their inner struggles and barriers so they are able to achieve their dreams.
I’m excited about the future and playing my part in supporting those who have struggles, however big or small. Sharing my experience and the tools I have learnt along the way.
Through Lockdown, I have had to adapt my ways of working as a Yoga Teacher and also now as a Hypnotherapist. I now work on Zoom and will continue to do so, once the Lockdown way of life is over.
